Re: Pixelated banding emitter

i'd say it's the voxel structure that becomes visible, because your object is slightly rotated, the voxel grid however is not. I would try to set a bigger "Radius" in the emitter tag. Bigger then the "Voxel size" setting in the conatiner... I could imagine that it may also help to enable the "Smooth...

Re: Render TFD as a mesh

ah ok ;) i don't have rf|c4d right now. But i'd probably just drag the container-object into the mesher :D but i guess you've already tried this... ;) I think it's possible to mesh a ThinkingParticles group though. So you could try to let TPs follow your simulation, and mesh the particles. The TP/Xp...

Re: Render TFD as a mesh

"RealFlow | Cinema 4D" is not the same as the "Realflow" standalone program. You need to buy it separately; it's not startet via Realflow.exe but running directly inside Cinema4D. Just saying, in case there is a misunderstanding... ;) Other than that, there is the command-line tool in you tfd-folder...

Re: Render TFD as a mesh

it seems he didn't actually use "tfd inside Realflow". I guess he used the "RealFlow | Cinema 4D" plugin for cinema-4d, which is some sort of Realflow running directly inside C4D as a plugin: http://www.nextlimit.com/realflow/realflow_cinema4d/ And it seems (i don't know!!) he meshed the tfd-simulat...

Re: How to costrain fire and smoke inside a mesh?

Almost... ;) Your Collision-Object doesn't have an actual thickness. You extruded it without having "Create Caps" enabled in the extrude tool. So your object doesnt have an inner wall... Also you will have to make the object quite thick, because if the wall is too thin, it's thinner than the voxel s...

Re: How to costrain fire and smoke inside a mesh?

Hello, why is the "Collision Object" enabled on the emitter object? You have to put another TFD tag on the collision-object and enable it there, but not on the emitter... Also, i guess the fluids will then collide with the outside of your collision object. Your collision object needs probably a thic...

Re: c4d crashing.

No.... what tfd-build are you using? I would make a backup of you c4d prefences-folder (if you don't know it: start c4d, Edit->Preferences, then click on the "Open Prerferences Folder" button on the bottom...), and delete the original one so that c4d creates fresh preferences on next start... Maybe ...

Re: bcf2vdb command line utility

Just trying it. Seems to be easy to use (on windows 7): got into the folder where the bcf2vdb.exe is located. press shift and do rightlick into the explorer window (on empty space; not on a file). You will now have the context menu option "Open command line from here" or sth. like that ( i have a ge...
