Substeps not working properly?

So I've been doing this sand monster for yetanother SyFy movie, and I need to do fast dust. I set the frame and pressure substeps to 10... 20... 50... 200. The sim still kept solving my PFX burst in vector rods one frame's travel wide. Is this just PFX being unbearably crap and unable to sample it's...

Re: Collider influence

Ooop! Think I cracked it! In the Object Properties> Deform Tab, I enabled Edit Nodes, and attached a Scale Node to a Poly Move Node and plugged that to the Displacement Input. This let me envelope down the polygon size of my unwelded Collider object, making it leaky. Bit of a hack, but it worked.

Re: Need help to make slow mowing thick smoke

What often works for me with large-scale smoke is to leave the Simulation/Timing/Time Scale control at 100% for my pre-roll, then at about -50 frames, ramp Time Scale down to about 15%. I don't know the exact effect you're trying to achieve, but in general, Slow Looks Big.

Collider influence

Hi,

Is there a way to envelope a collider's level of influence? I'm doing a shot where it would be really useful to be able to adjust the permeability of a collider from "100%, nothing gets through" to "Collider Off" over time.

Is there any way to do this?
