Re: Using an obj has container

I would give the collider-sphere some thickness. You could extrude it outwards with "create caps" enabled. Maybe sth. like 20 or 30 cm...

Re: Smoke flow through a winding path

I would use one particle emitter to emit the fluids (or on object like a sphere). And a second particle emitter to emit "force" particles. That means particles that have the "Velocity Weight" force in the tfd-emitter tag set to ~"1". Also increase their tfd "radius", so that the space between the pa...

Re: Falloff of Wind

You have to make a cube or plane and then put an emitter tag on and use the Directional Force (or Pressure for an Attractor-like force).

Re: Access Current Frame Info with XPresso/Python

+1 for a different reason though: i would like to read out the "Physical Time" and "Scene Frame" that is displayed there. When using the "Frame Offset" and "frame Step" together with long frame ranges, and multiple containers, it can be quite complicated to calculate what frame of the cache the cont...

Re: Emission Texture with layer shader

in case the layer shader doesn't work you should try the Fusion shader instead. I can be wrong, but some time ago i had problems with the layer shader as well, and i think the "Fusion" shader worked fine.

Re: Animation problems

In the container settings go to Rendering->General and set the "Frame Step" to "0". And the Frame Offset to "-15".
Is this what you wanted?
I think you could use the Subgrid Noise for slight movement, and scaling/moving the container should work too...
