Re: Doesn't work in AE CC

Turbulence2D does not support After Effects CC or later. On Windows only CS4, CS5, CS5.5 and CS6 are supported. On MacOS only CS4 is supported. The After Effects plugin in it’s current form will not be updated for newer versions of After Effects anymore. There may be an After Effects plugin for the ...

Re: Performance GPU CPU

I couldn't reproduce this slowdown. It might be a storage related issue. You can check that by running simulation in Interactive mode instead of Cache mode. You'll have to manually stop the simulation after a number of frames in this case. Note the time, start the simulation again and stop it at the...

Re: Performance GPU CPU

If it's the entire sequence that takes 15sec, then what you're seeing is framework overhead rather than simulation performance. Storage performance often varies over time and system load. Many simulations are bottlenecked by storage throughput. To see the difference in CPU/GPU performance, reduce th...

Re: bcf2vdb command line utility

Here is a quick guide on how to use bcf2vdb or many other command line tools like it. - Open a windows command prompt or power shell. (In the start menu type "command pro...") I'll call this app the "shell" below. - In the TurbulenceFD plugin folder find the file bcf2vdb/bcf2vdb.exe and drag it to y...

Re: Rendering issue with trial license

Unfortunately the trial does not support any 3rd party renderers.
I'm hoping this restriction can be removed in the future.

Re: Caches and multiple containers

No, you can have multiple containers that use the same cache. This allows you to place multiple instances of the same simulation across the scene.
You can change rendering parameters on each container instance (esp. also Rendering/Frame Offset) to change the appearance of the instances.
