Re: 1070 GTX support?!

The latest TFD build 1418 supports Nvidia Pascal GPUs like the GTX 10xx. While TFD does not support multi-GPU simulation yet, it still helps to use two GPUs. The simulation should ideally always be run on a GPU that does not also drive a display. This way it does not have to share GPU memory and com...

Re: Modo

The After Effects plugin in it’s current form will not be updated for newer versions of After Effects anymore.
There may be an After Effects plugin for the 3D fluid simulator in the future, which would then support the current versions of AE.
I have no idea if and when this is going to happen, though.

Re: What's next?

I'm trying to avoid any announcements before it's sure that this is exactly what is going to happen (haven't always succeeded with this in the past). The only thing i can tell for sure is that all i'm doing is working on improving TFD in as many aspects as possible. Thank you for offering your help....

Re: Team Rendering

Make sure you don't have Simulate While Rendering checked.
The files can take some time to transfer to the clients, but the client log should say that it's downloading not calculating.
Also use the latest version of TFD and C4D, both had Team Render related fixes.

A new build 1402 will be up soon to address this issue.
It's not related to the C4D version but OS X system configuration.

Re: Editor not updating

Network drives are usually not ideal for storing caches because they tend to be slow, but it shouldn't prevent the preview to show.
There's a maintenance update coming up that has changes that might affect this.
So let's look at it again when it's available.
