Upresing and Team Render/Farms Question for Jascha

If I sim out a sequence on one GPU and save velocity data then I assume that as that data is now baked into a cache all that happens when I upres is that the CPU works on that bcf file.
Logically is it not correct that multiple machines can work on separate bcf files and if so in that case if we set the upres to simulate while rendering and spread the render over a number of machines each will work on it’s frame.
if i am correct then upreszing would be a breeze on a render farm
