Thinking Particle and T4D

Post by osmosis » 24 Jan 2010, 19:56

hi

i have a TP setup that emits Quader to the ground and on the ground i have a plane that produce smoke
i want to do the same as the falling_block_dust example just with TP, but its not working what did i wrong and is it possible
to do this in the current state of T4D (sorry for my bad english) hope you understand what i mean

Thanks in advance

Currently, generators like TP emitters or MoGraph objects cannot be fluid emitters or obstacles.
This will be added soon in one of the next updates.

I beg to disagree and here is the proof

and the scene file

Modynamics is different as the objects themselves are not moving, only the surrogate clones

Oh, right you are :)
This is preliminary support only, though, and it does not work for obstacles.

Here you go TP particles as obstacles just the first 75 frames and the scene file

Ok, now i'm impressed :D
This is untested territory, funny to see there's actually some of it working.
The reaction to the boxes' impact looks weird, though. So for all the non-hardcore experimenters, i'd recommend to consider it not working for now ;)

I had the particle temps very high i am doing a new test with 1 part block like the example scene with a much lower temp
