LW2015 compatibility?

Post by 3dworks » 29 Jan 2015, 12:32

i tried to use the latest plugin version (v 1376) with LW 2015.1 on mac - but could not add the plugin. i tried also to clear all plugins and add it manually, no success. error was that the plugin could not be found. is this a know issue and will there be a fix soon? anyone on mac having the same experience?

on the same mac, TFD is working properly with LW 11.6.3.

cheers

Changelog for V1382 applies to Windows version only.
The OSX version has not been updated...
There is no sense in keeping both versions just to run a plugin!
Need to use this for a project
Anyone...?

I get crashes all the time now. I've tried 2015, 2015.1 and 2015.2.
When I switch on multiple scattering in the render tab for smoke, it crashes upon render, once the multiple scattering calculation is done. Really frustrating.

EDIT
Seems very random. Some times I can render 10 frames in a go before LW crashes. Other times just one frame. The next time I set up render again, it may go endlessly and complete the scene. I don't get it.

EDIT AGAIN
I had rendered 90 frames without a problem. Then I went on to a new scene. Rendered three frames and LW crashes. I noticed that the multiple scattering processing was still running. Perhaps the crashes aren't related to TFD at all? All though the crashes only happen when I'm rendering TFD.

I have sent a bug report to LightWave 3D Group, but they told me they can't do much before the author of TFD contacts them with his findings. Crossing fingers.

tried it with all 2015's releases - same result here -> 0 plugins found...
had some emails with the support but they meant it should work, so I considered the problem was on my side, but now it seems TurbulenceFD is really not working with LW2015 (at least on mac)...
