OPEN VDB!

Post by prometheus » 28 Apr 2013, 15:47

Someone needs to delve in to this, maybe something for jascha and turbulenceFD...or maybe it is up to the main software developers to do the mainframe work like newtek or maxxon?

I have TurbulenceFD for Cinema 4D R12. Can I export voxels into Modo 10.2 ?

Unfortunately you can't do this in the current release version.
The next version supports OpenVDB import and export.
There is no release date yet, though.

Does that cover LightWave too? Export OpenVDB from sims done in LightWave, in the next version of TFD?
LightWave 3D 2015 | Modo 12
Windows 10 | i7 5960x | 128GB RAM | RTX 2080 Ti

The OpenVDB import/export is a core engine feature and will be available in all plugins.

Darn.

Will the new version with the feature be available for Modo?

Thanks for the update.
