Thanks for the parts-list David, very useful to see what's needed. Probably doing something similar soon, as a workstation rather than a dedicated sims machine, so would be interested to see how this develops.

Cheers - Chris

I actually spent a good 10+ hours yesterday assembling everything. After sweating bullets not knowing if the thing would even turn on after finishing it. Thankfully it did boot into bios, and I was able to install Windows 8.1 successfully. Early this morning I got the software installed and was able to do a quick TFD test. Things seem to be running smoothly so far. I would like to bench mark TFD. Is there any specific test out there right now?

I haven't tweaked any settings or dialed in any machine specs yet. Not sure if I even need to. Not really savvy in that department, but I do know I didn't want to over clock anything. Just not a fan of it based on previous horror stories I've encountered from a few people. So with the default setup I ran Cine Bench and Octane Bench and got these numbers so far:

Cine Bench:
OpenGL 158.85 fps
CPU 1783 cb

Octane Bench:
Score 248.201291
