Non-Existent yet functioning Collision Object....

Dear Hive.
Why in the name of all things, does my sim run into a random invisible "wall" after about 20 frames?
I am trying to sim low fog (CO2) covering a stage floor.
I have one emitter and one collision object (the stage) in the scene, and nothing in the physical place where the smoke is being stopped.
The container is big enough to not be stopping the flow.
There is no wind, vorticity or turbulence and only density is active.
Half life is zero frames
Gravity is 0 and gravity direction is 0, -1, 0.
