NVLINK 3090s + Octane Crash with TFD

I believe that TFD fails to work with RTX 3090s in NLINK or otherwise. and doesn’t specifically work with Octane plugin latest builds.

Wondering if there will be some compatibility soon. Made forum Post with both developers, Otoy and here on Jawset!

thanks

AMD RYZEN 9 3950X
64GB RAM
NVLINK 2x 3090

Cinema4D R20 &R23

ISSUES: CRASHING BEFORE LAUNCH IN SLI & EVEN WITHOUT SLI
TFD CAN NOT BE A PLUGIN WITH OCTANE.

OCTANE WORKS SOLO
TFD WORKS SOLO

but they cannot coexist atm

thanks

Could you please provide the following additional information?

  1. The version numbers of the following components
  • Octane
  • TurbulenceFD
  • Nvidia driver
  1. The TurbulenceFD log file from directly after a crash. The file is at
    %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\jawset\turbulence.log
  2. C4D’s _BugReport.txt
If C4D brings up a crash report when you restart it, it will state the path to that file in the crash reporter.

Thank you.

@Adrian_Cowherd yo dude, I’d love to ask about your sli 3090 setup and how you accomplished it, looking to get a similar build done but worried about the heat. Could really use some insight if you could reply/message or email me corbinmohr2@gmail.com
I would be forever grateful
