Here is a visual description of the settings. The basic out of the box settings are twice as fast to sim as the most advanced settings ( second orders and adaptive solver on) but the detali is far better and thus if you are hotting NVRAM limits this is a way to get more detail and the cost of sim time. I generally go with the high detail sim settings as default.
