TFD Trial (Mac C4D): Octane sees nothing

Hello lovely TFD people,

For the life of me I can’t get Octane to see the sim. It’s cached (those files are big aren’t they?) I’m actually using a C4D file that Beppe from OTOY put other there as working – nope.

Is the trial version restricted to not be able to render in Octane or am I being stupid, perhaps not caching the sim properly?

Sorry, I’m a complete noob and just trying to play with the trial version to see if I want to buy it.

UPDATE: Octane won’t render with the trial version.

The TurbulenceFD Learning Edition does not support any 3rd party render engines.
The licensed version is supported by Arnold, Cycles, Octane and Redshift.
