Time Scale Question

Pretty sure I know the answer to this, but wanted to ask about retimimg a sim with time scale.

I understand how to retime a basic sim, but if parts of it are driven by keyframed objects and emitters, those would all have to be adjust manually to account for the slower speed of the sim, right?

Like it an emitter was firing from frame 50-60 in a real-time sim, you’d have to fire them from 50-160 if the sim went down to 10% speed.

Is that right?

Wondering if it would be easier in this case to render it in real time at a high frame rate and do the retiming in AE.

Yup easier to slow down in post…with more flexibility
